Week 15!

Hello all!
This week was great! We spent a lot of time with our members last week. We finally got to meet with our bishop and got some members to go visit from him. We had a member to go with us to every one of our appointments but pretty much all of our appointments fell through but it's all right because we got a lot of new appointments for this week!
We helped the Clutteur family clean out a garage the size of a small house and ate dinner with them twice last week. One of their sons has been less-active the last few years but really wants to start coming back to church and he came last Sunday, so he's starting to move on the right path. At church Mitchell gave his very first talk and did a really good job! He also is being interviewed soon to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood and I'm super excited for him. On Sunday night we ate at the Gonzalez home and had some good Puerto Rican food!
Afterwards Brother Gonzalez asked us to go see some of his home teaching families with him and even though no one was home it shows that we're starting to get members excited about missionary work.
Today we had our zone p-day and we played kick ball and some Chinese checkers. That was pretty much my week and it was fun!

Love you all!

Week 14!

Hello all! This week was awesome! I got my new companion Elder Fia, it's weird not being new anymore and actually getting to put my input into decisions. Elder Fia is super awesome and is from Tonga so he has an awesome accent, I do feel bad for him sometimes because a lot of people have trouble understanding him (which is weird because it's really easy to understand him.) Something that we really want to work on this transfer is working with members more. Since Elder Fia has been here we've already seen the blessings of member involvement. A less active member is actually coming back to church and is coming out to lessons with us, the members are actually feeding us which means we can get into their homes, and we've just been coming up with good ideas in general. The work is definitely starting to progress a lot and I'm excited for the miracles which are about to be unfolded.
Basically the rest of the week was a whole lot of service so there isn't a while lot to talk about this week! Love you all!

Week 13! Not a Newbie

Hello all!
My week was pretty good! We actually had a pretty good amount of lessons last week with some fairly solid investigators. None of them made any lame excuses for why they could can't go to church and some of them should be to the Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday. We also met a very less active member who was baptized as a Catholic over 10 years ago but we started visiting with her and a lot of the things that bothered her about our church were actually false so we have been addressing a lot of concerns and she is starting to read the Book of Mormon again!
We've actually been meeting with a lot of less-active members lately and it's been going fairly well I would say. We also did quite a bit of service this week as well. That pretty much consists of my week!
Transfers are tomorrow and Elder Weigel is leaving me. He's going to be a Zone Leader in Rockford. Elder Fia is going to be my new companion, he has been in my district since I've been out so I know him fairly well already. I am no longer a new Missionary either, yesterday was my last day as one. Now I'm a big boy!

Love you all!
