Hey Everyone!
This last week was pretty great. We got rebuked pretty
hardcore by Elder Martino on Wednesday when we had a Mission Tour. The tour was
super awesome I definitely learned a lot from Elder Martino and from his wife.
He basically told us that we've been doing it all wrong and that there is a
better way. We already knew this stuff but the hard part was trying to figure
out how to do it. What he told us was that we need to work with members, no
exceptions. That was the part we knew, but he actually gave us some really good
ideas on how to do that and we've already started to implement those things and
we've had more lessons in members homes these past few days than I've had
almost the whole transfer. It works wonderfully! I can't wait to implement it
in my new area.
New area? Yep, that's right. Guess who's getting
transferred...this guy. I am being moved (on Tuesday) to the Bloomington 2nd
Ward with Elder Westenskow as my new companion. This will be his first transfer
not being trained so he's pretty new, I'm excited to be with a newer missionary
because they have a fire that gets lost the longer out you've been. I'm hoping
he can help me rekindle that fire. I've heard that my area is in a richer part
of town, which is the opposite of where I've been in my last two areas, so this
should be a new experience for me. I'm really excited to see what the Lord has
in store for me in Bloomington and I can't wait to serve the people there and
work hard!
I've definitely seen a lot of blessings this week as I've
been trying to work on some Christlike attributes. I exhort everyone to go to
chapter 6 in Preach My Gospel and pick an attribute to work on as I know that
while we try to become more like Christ it will help us draw closer to him and
help prepare us to enter into the kingdom of God.
I love you all and hope and pray that you all make this
week good!
