It was great to be able to talk with the family
yesterday! That's two down two to go! Time is going by fast...too fast.
We were able to meet with Greg for the first time this
week. In fact I just barely met everyone we are teaching this week. Greg is
pretty awesome though, he really analyzes the scriptures we read and had a ton
of questions about the chapter we had him read. They were all interesting
questions but he liked the answers we gave which is a good sign. He was sick
when we taught him so we aren't sure how much of it he got but we were at least
able to answer his questions. We also met with the Theobald's, the other
investigators we have. We took a member over to do service for them and taught
a lesson afterwards. We had planned to teach her about prayer and the Book of
Mormon with the hopes of having her to commit to read and pray but she talks
super fast and for for a super long time without any breaks in her words. We
weren't able to teach what we had planned but she did tell us that she is
worried that some of her family members who didn't go to church or believe are
going to Hell. So we were at least able to teach her about the spirit world and
ease some of her fears, she really liked that.
We met a really cool guy on the bus who's brother is a
member. We were able to give him a Book of Mormon and the church's info. He has
no way for us to contact him and has an interesting living situation so we
weren't able to get a way to teach him but hopefully he'll at least read.
We also had exchanges on Saturday and that was pretty
cool. The District Leader is Elder Pace and he's a Spanish speaking missionary
so most of the lessons we went to I just sort of sat and looked pretty. We
taught I think 7 lessons that day and two of them were in English so I at least
got to help a little bit...those two lessons went pretty well though. I'm a
little disappointed that he didn't feed me any Mexican food....at least he
showed me where a legit Mexican restaurant is. It's better than nothing. While
we were on exchanges the other Elders were able to get in contact with
Ernestine again and set an appointment up for Thursday, so I'm excited for
that!
That's pretty much all the excitement that happened this
week. I'm excited for the great week we're going to have spreading the good
news to the people in BloNo! (Bloomington Normal) Make it a great week
everyone! Remember that I love you and more importantly, God loves you.
