Happy Memorial Day!

Hello everyone!
We have had quite a good Memorial Day so far. We wet and did a run with one of the Wards in town and a breakfast afterwards and yes, I ran. Luckily it was still a good temperature this morning. They had some homemade syrup and it was super good!
This week was pretty good, we talked to a few interesting people. One of them was a black supremacist who called the Book of Mormon fool’s gold. That was a first. We also met a really cool guy near a referral that we got who has met with missionaries in the past but wasn't interested in meeting at the moment. That's seems to be the main theme lately, mostly nice people that aren't interested. That's okay though! The work is still important regardless of whether they accept it or not.
All of our investigators aren't really progressing very well either. Anqunette is planning on being out of town for quite a while. Not sure what to do with her. Joyce has been reading and praying for two weeks and said that she hasn't gotten an answer yet so we told her to keep trying and to be patient. She said that she will. It's a good sign! We have some good plans to help her recognize her answer and be patient
We had lots of service this week for non-members. They were really good service opportunities and the people we served were so grateful for our help. One of them was a move where we were just supposed to help them move a hot tub into the truck but they ended up needing help moving the whole house, so we stayed and helped. I'm pretty sure it was a less-active part-member family but I'm not sure. The other service we had was with a non-member who randomly called us out of the blue and actually lives in another area that touches us. All 7 of the Missionaries in the area went over on Saturday and laid sod for her yard. It was pretty fun but man sod is heavy. On Saturday I was on an exchange with Elder Golling so Elder Berryhill didn't get to have all of that fun.
One of the young men in our Ward just got his mission call. He had been called to serve in the California San Jose Mission. I told him that I'll have to go feed him dinner while he's serving there since it's so close to home. He reports to the MTC on August 2nd so I'll have two years to make it out there.
I think that's about it for this week. I hope you all can have a great week filled with love for the Savior.
  • Matthew 10:32-33
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
I pray that you each will be able to confess Jesus Christ to those around you. I know and testify that he lives. He is your advocate with the Father and He will succor you. I love you all!
Love,
Elder Eddenfield
