First Week in Bloomington

Hello everyone!
This week was pretty great! Elder Westenskow is a great companion, he has a real desire to work and to be obedient, which is great! The area is a lot different than I'm used to. It's a fairly wealthy area with a lot of Caucasian and Indian people, in fact my area is nicknamed Little India. They are always very nice and open when we first contact them but generally they disappear when you try to contact them again, it's very different. Right now we're trying to get new investigators since we only have one solid investigator and one couple to work with. All of my other areas have had 40+ potentials and for once I'm going to be doing lots of tracting and street contacting. Right now we are being advised to not tract since it is very ineffective but we really don't know what else to do in this area, so until we can figure that out we're going to have no choice but to do a lot of generic personal finding. We are really trying to start working with the members more though so hopefully member work starts picking up more. I am excited to start doing a lot of personal finding though since I haven't had to do a lot of that before.
We had an awesome experience on Wednesday during a dinner we had.
After our lesson we asked if there was anything we could do for her and she didn't have any service for us to do but she walked us over to one of her neighbors houses and introduced us. This woman was more than happy to have us help her and she even offered to feed us! The miracles happen when we open our mouth, this member said she was hesitant to say anything but because she knows how important the gospel is she decided to just go for it. And look at the miracles that followed! I definitely have a testimony of the importance of members now, I feel really bad for not giving any referrals because I could have made the missionaries job so much easier and I could have tried to help those I care about.
That's pretty much it for this week!
Make it a great week everyone!
-Elder Eddenfield
