Hey everyone!
This week was
fantastic, mostly because of General Conference but for other reasons as well.
Conference was so great, I mean really, if you didn't watch it please do. So
many wonderful principles were taught that will bring peace into your life. The
Saturday sessions were the best, mostly because the last talk of both sessions
were about missionary work, although I am a little biased. Hahaha, Saturday's
was still really good regardless. I love the closing prayer on the Sunday
afternoon session where he promised the Lord that he would continue to study
the talks after the fact, or something like that. As I said amen I made sure I
was willing to keep that promise as well, and I sure am. Ganga (the mom),
Krish, and Monita (5) came to the Fifields home for the Sunday morning session!
That's real progression on their part. The kids didn't pay attention at all and
were a little rowdy but luckily we had them bring their Book of Mormon coloring
book and that kept them somewhat entertained. We're just glad they came in
general. Also, the Fifields made....cinnamon rolls! The tradition continues on
even when I'm not at home. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Dad
usually makes cinnamon rolls for General Conference.
Another bit of
success is that we have been trying to get the places we do service at to put
service opportunities on JustServe, specifically the Salvation Army is excited
to do so. We are really trying to use all of the tools given to us to hasten
the work which includes JustServe, Family History, Facebook, and now church
tours. The Church just released a new app called Chapel Tours which gives short
little videos we can use when giving a church tour. We are in the planning
stage of trying to have the Mongers come to a church tour so that we can try it
out.
Transfers are this
week and Elder Kloosterboer and I will be staying together for another
transfer! The other Elders will be as well which means there will be no changes
made in the St Charles Ward. This is not very common but we're excited to
continue strengthening our relationships with the members here and to see
progress made with the people we have found. Members are happy, we're happy,
the Lord is happy. All around good stuff. Even though no changes are being made
it is still a new transfer which means a new start and new goals. We are going
to make this transfer even better than the last.
I don't know what it
is but I'm super pumped for some reason. The Spirit is just letting me know
that this is going to be a good transfer or something, who knows. This work is
true, Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God, and the restoration of the
gospel of Jesus Christ truly did take place. I am so happy that there were
talks given on the subject of the Restoration and that almost every prayer had
a testimony of it given. Man this church is true, I know it and I hope you know
it as well.
Have a great week everyone. I love
you all!
